...BARQAAB Consulting Services (Pvt.) Ltd., registered as a Private Limited Company under Companies Ordinance 1984, established in May, 2000, is now 10 years old. It is also registered with Pakistan Engineering Council.

In these ten years, true to its name BARQAAB has strived to earn a name for being a dependable Consultancy in Power (BARQ) and Water (AAB) Projects.  By the grace of Almighty Allah, today the Company is duly recognized by WAPDA, Governments of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtun Khawh, World Bank and Asian Development Bank.

With total staff strength of more than 700 personnel including 350 Professionals, BARQAAB has provided Consultancy Services to 44 Water and 88 Power projects (adding to a total of 132 Projects) Independently and active member of Joint Venture.

BARQAAB feels privileged to have independently handled Consultancy Work of Akhori Dam Project, beginning from identification to Conceptual Design and Appraisal.  This Project, due to its being off-channel storage from Indus River, is in-fact future Tarbela Dam.  The Project with 7 MAF storage near Attock City, will have a life of more than 600 years because the diverted flow from the reservoir of Tarbela Dam near Haripur, shall carry minimal silt.  Now its feasibility study has been carried out.

The other high tech Project handled by BARQAAB independently is NTDC-KESC 500/220kV Interconnection Project, the first project of its type in the country. BARQAAB was involved in design review and construction management here.
